With a stage starting in Betekom (Begijnendijk) and finishing in Aarschot, the route schedule for the 95th edition of the Baloise Belgium Tour is now complete. This stage in the heart of Hageland will take place on Saturday 20 June. The Baloise Belgium Tour is a five-day stage race that forms part of the UCI ProSeries (2.Pro) and takes place from 17 to 21 June this year.
The Saturday stage was the final one missing from the route schedule for the 2026 Baloise Belgium Tour. That stage will start at the Betekom sports hall (Begijnendijk) and finish in Aarschot after approximately 180 km. A stage that crosses the Hageland with a few tough climbs. Anyone who missed their chance in the Ardennes stage the day before can still try to make amends here.
On Sunday, the 95th Baloise Belgium Tour will reach its climax in the Druivenstreek, another region with particularly challenging climbs. So, the ideal setting to play one’s final trump cards and launch a decisive attack in the battle for the overall victory. The final stage starts in Gingelom, Limburg, and finishes in Hoeilaart.
Furthermore, this edition of the Baloise Belgium Tour will once again visit a number of stage towns that have now become fixtures in the race schedule. The Baloise Belgium Tour opens on Wednesday 17 June with a stage in and around Scherpenheuvel-Zichem. This is also a Hageland stage, but one where both breakaway riders and sprinters will find something to suit them. The stage on Thursday 18 June, from Merelbeke-Melle to Knokke-Heist, is tailor-made for the fast men. The finish at De Wandelaar is iconic within the Baloise Belgium Tour and was won last year by Tim Merlier.
The third stage, on Friday 19 June, is a true climbing classic. In the Ardennes stage, starting and finishing in Durbuy, the riders must climb the Mur de Durbuy four times, and also cross the finish line there. Jenno Berckmoes won this stage last year, whilst the Italian Filippo Baroncini laid the foundations for his eventual overall victory there.
Liesbeth Laureys, Director of Marketing & Development at Baloise: “We are proud to represent Baloise as the main sponsor at the Belgium Tour, Belgium’s ultimate cycling festival for young and old alike. We look forward to following the tour along the revamped route; as one of Belgium’s largest insurers, we want to work with the organisers to create a total experience for all fans and supporters lining the course.”
